Totally rubbish i know...

As above....I have been really busy at work , its that assessment / report *yawn* time again and all of mine and Ryan's weekends seem to have been taken up by something, a 30th Birthday, bridesmaids fittings and a friends wedding. ( which was absolutely beautiful and has made me start to panic about the fact ours is just under 9 weeks away!!!


The weather has been beautiful which has really uplifted my mood. I LOVE the summer, BBQs, beaches and sun sun sun! It fills me with excitement for the summer holidays.


This is me on Friday night , knackered from our alien te apart at work (don't ask! 5 year olds are mad) having just eaten lots of BBQ food cuddling Tandy in my sun lounger! Couldn't be happier ha!

Neither could the dogs with the fact Ryan is just as soppy as me and BBQed them their own sausages! 

I haven't done ant crochet...just been SO busy...but I have done lots of wedding crafting so I think next post will be some photographs of that!

Feeling poorly

I have been struck down with a horrible sore throat which is draining the rest of my body of energy, I have not done much at all for the last two days and i'm getting very bored of feeling rubbish. The poor doggies are going a bit bonkers as we have been cooped up together for so long :( I hope I start to feel better soon - i've got 3 days of work starting tomorrow and a wedding to go to on Saturday! You would have thought lazying around feeling ill would be a perfect opportunity to do some hooking but I just haven't felt like it at all.


On a more positive note I did go and have a wedding hair trial at the weekend!! What do you think?

Blog faffing and lots of projects!

Well the Easter holidays have been as lovely as I has hope! A good balance of pottering /crafting / dog walking at home / out with friends and family! I have also had a mega wedding brain this holiday, it has crept closer and all of a sudden I feel rather over whelmed with  the amount of organising  left to do!! I having been making metres and metres and metres of bunting for the wedding but I have finally finished yipeee! And it does look rather pretty! Here it is draped around the living room....

I also wanted to show you the dresser stool I attempted to decoupage to go with my painted dressing table, its not exactly creases free! haha.. but i'm pretty pleased with how it looks in our bedroom.

I've also been crocheting some more granny squares for my first blanket...but progress is slow...it could be finished in approximately  the year 2020 at this rate!!!

I did however feel inspired to start some heart bunting after visiting the lovely attic 24's blog...

You may notice my two hearts don't quite match...I'm pretty sure I missed a few rows out in the middle of the pink one! Ha typical of my crochet...oh so slow and oh so wonky! 

After hours of making bunting it was stuck in my brain and I was inspired to add some to this cushion cover!! I bought two of these covers in Primark the other day as they are only £1:50.. and it looks quite cute.. (in  a wonky way!)  It was hard work trying to get it through my diddy sewing machine! For the other one I have some crochet flower ideas.....

Hope you all had a happy easter! I never got around to showing you my Easter tree, so here it is in all its prettiness! I should probably put it away but its so cute! The table will look pretty bare without it..

When in primark I also bought these polka dot candles, they smell lovely, and I picked up this super cute heart tealight holder too in a local garden centre, I love the way it turns.

This is currently our stair way, we want to fill this whole wall with mis matched frames and photos..we are not really doing very well!!! why are frames always so expensive!?

I've got bunting on my brain..I'd really like to make some, shorter , and sell it on Etsy /Folksy...I wonder if anybody would buy it!?

My holiday has also of course been full of lovely dog walks, Ellie is getting much more confident in the water now! This was up on Dartmoor, such a pretty place!

Right I think this super long post is full up!!! Well done if you have made it all the way down here!

Holiday Happiness

The Easter Holidays have arrived and I couldn't be feeling more happy, theres nothing better than sitting in bed now with my cup of tea with no work to be thought of ! (Except that little bit of work I need to do before the end....but thats not needing to be done for 2 WEEKS!)


What shall I do today? Wedding crafting, crochet, cooking, baking, shopping.. ANYTHING I LIKE!


My wedding bunting is coming along nicely , I have got nice big piles of triangles all sewn together and the favours are looking good too - will have to get some pictures.


On Sunday Ryan and I went to the wedding venue to meet out photographer, florist and cake maker, and also to check out our hotel and the dogs doggy hotel - such a busy day but it has just filled me with excitement and made me have a bonkers wedding brain!! Its all I can think about I'm so excited I could bursttttttt!!!!!!

We also got to see the camper van I have booked for the big day, its lovely!

New toy!!

Ryan decided that we really needed an iPad this week! I was all "waste of money blah blah blah" but who is now addicted???ME!!!!! Haha So this is coming straight from the pad! Although not sure what this will look like, or if I can get photos to work! Oh well m sure I'll learn soon, Must go as we are out for a cheeky curry tonight Becky x

Guilty Pleasures and sunshine!

I'm not sure why its taken me so long to post on here again, I am always catching up on the blogs I follow, I just love to read all the little things about everybody else!  Like most people across the country I have been thoroughly enjoying the sunshine!! We even got the BBQ out from under its cover on Friday night! Can't beat a BBQ in the garden with a cold beer!

Last Wednesday Ryan and I went to see a band, (see guilty pleasure title) one of those bands that kind of make music for teenagers (which we are no longer at 26 and 27!) but enjoyed (along with a few cheeky pints) immensely !! If your wondering we watched a band called You Me at six...

Last weekend we took a trip down to Plymouth to see family and friends and also to see my finished bridesmaids dresses! They are BEAUTIFUL can't wait until they get to wear them! They look a little peachy in colour in this photo, but they are not in real life much more pinky :)

Took the doggles to a local beach which was just as beautiful as ever! They also made some doggy friends.

 We often swim here in the summer when the tide is in a little more!

 The sky was so blue,  it was amazing..

Ryan took this of Tandy her teeth look fake, it makes me laugh everytime I look at it..

We are off to Ilfracombe next weekend to meet with our wedding florist, photographer, cake maker and to check out the dog kennels! Can't wait! Only this week at work and its Easter holidays too :) that reminds me I need to take a photo of our Easter tree, will take a piccy soon! Will try not to leave it this long between blogging too!

p.s I wonder if there is anybody kind out there who could invite me on pintrest? I would really like to do some wedding pinning!! (and maybe some crochet...bunting....spaniels.......the possibilities are endless! :)

National Pie Week!

I have been embracing pie week...


I started with a nommy steak and sweet potato pie.....

Followed by mini steak and stilton pies... Nom nom I love food!

Nothing much to report! I finished decoupaging my dresser stool...its is rather ..err. wrinkly? Not sure i've quite got the technique! Its drying at the moment will get a piccy soon!


I have made very slow progress on the crochet blanket ...I got distracted and started making a teapot cosy ( I made two sides which are too small and useless despite following the pattern!) then a cushion....which is still not finished..... oops....


I have ordered some lovely fabric from ebay to get started on some wedding bunting! I hope it arrives soon so I can get started on my days off this week!

I have also ordered 74 jam jars , I'm making our wedding favours, pretty jam jars filled with sweets!!! Something like this.....

Hurry up summer!!!!!!!
